Hi all
I am a user of IE6 & XP Home
All of a sudden, in the last few days, I seem to be
unable to load pages with Java applets on them. When I
try to load these pages (of which there are a lot on the
internet!) I get an Install on Demand dialog box asking
me to install the "Java virtual machine".
When I click to download, I am redirected to a Microsoft
site which tells me:
"We're sorry, you cannot view this page because it
requires the Microsoft Java Virtual Machine (MSJVM). Your
machine does not have the MSJVM installed. For more
information please visit www.microsoft.com/java".
When I go to the microsoft.com/java site - it's extremely
confusing as it seems to be a developers site primarly? I
try to click on the Sun Microsystems link to download the
free runtime solution but the original problem of the box
asking me to instal the Java virtual machine is still
occuring. I feel as though I'm going around in circles!
Please help!
