In IE 6, every time I go to web sites like Old Navy, J C
Penney, and the likes including WebMD, I get a meesage box
that appears on my screen that saids, "Notice,
ShopAtHomeSelect is temporarily unavailable for CashBack
rebates. We apologies for the inconcenience. Please try
again later." Now the computer freezes. I can't do
anything, including Ctrl-Alt-Del. I have to shut the CPU
down and start from there. Now it tells me I shut down
wrong and does a Scan Disk for errors. I would like to
find help with this. Thank you for your time and help.

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
