Web-site shortcut icon on desktop

Can I put a shortcut icon on my desktop for web-sites that I frequently
visit? If so, how? I am running Vista Home Premium. Thanks!
 
right click the desktop, new shortcut

or you can drag thr url to the desktop right from the address bar of IE
