Web Publish Questions

I recently published a PowerPoint 2003 presentation with sound for the web.
When I post the mhtml file, it generally plays correctly, and I can hear the
audio. However, I do have two small problems:

1. The audio files on some slides gets cut off a few seconds too early.

2. There are no transitions set up in the original PowerPoint presentation,
but the web presentation includes a "click" sound transtition and a brief
white screen between each slide. How do I get rid of this?

Thanks!

A few comments on this, Demian, hoping they could be useful.

Although publishing to MHTML might look as a more efficient way to set up a
website, do remember that being a "all in one file" they are heavier to
download at once and quickly, as compared to a HTML document with referenced
files, whereby each image is downloaded progressively and start showing up
faster; as a matter of fact, you can even pre-download the next page's files
in the present page. Then you also have limitations regarding the browser to
use, in this case IE only and Firefox as long as the MHTML plug-in is
installed. MHTML was basically conceived for mail application. The weight of
the last file closing and the next one opening do influence the transition
quality, besides, of course, other variables like bandwidth and PC
processing.

What type audio file are you using ?

Your PPoint HTML transition problem is quite an old challenge in this group.
Unfortunately, PPoint does not translate automatic transitions properly,
neither in timing nor in quality, in most cases not at all. You'd have to
apply HTML transition codes, which you may find in
http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex3/document2.htm and add them
individually to the <HEAD> section of each page's source code. The white
page is your browser's default background which gets to be shown perhaps
longer than usual due to the absence of smoothness in the transition effect.

Cheers,

Gus
