Web pages not loading

Kevin

Hello!

There are a couple of web pages that I previously never
had problems with that are now either don't load or load
slowly. Nothing on my computer has changed. My ISP is
the same. I scanned my computer for spy ware and deleted
anything that might be slowing the load. I deleted my
cookies. Usually after about attemtping 10 times, the
page will load slowly.

Thanks!!

What are these mystery pages? Perhaps it is universal, and they are getting
a lot of hits right now; server is overloaded? What type of Internet
connection are you using? Many other questions before you can get really
satisfactory answers.

If DSL try this:
Shut down PC>Power off modem>wait ~ 2 minutes (for modem to release and
re-set)>re-energize modem>wait for the indicator lights to stabilize>
re-boot PC. Then try your pages. Still no joy?

Then perhaps your TIF's are too full and the small cache has to wade through
too much stuff to re-load. If so (check properties of Content.IE5 folder for
size and number of folders/files): Control Panel>IE options>delete
files>delete all off-line content>OK>OK out. *Do not delete files by any
other method*!

Thanks for responding.

I have dial up. I tried loading the pages on another
computer and there were not any problems. I attempted to
delete pff line content files and it did not help.

Thanks!

You're welcome. ;-) This other computer shares the same internet connection
as the PC in question? I am sorry to keep asking *you the questions*, when
you post here for answers. :-|

Then try this and see how efficient your modem -Internet connection is.

Also, try this:

empty out as many unneeded things from your comp, and
defragment your harddrive. This will speed up your comp a
good deal

perhaps you have a firewall, and this slows down your
internet sometimes
