web page won't close

When I open a web page and then try to close it the page
will not close. I can only close the page by clicking on
the minimize box. Also all of my system restore points
are gone, my date and time are mysteriously in the future.

This is a possible spyware or virus side effect.

Do you have up to date virus scanning? If not, go immediately to
http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ and scan for viruses.

Next, check for spyware. Get Spybot S&D and HijackThis (both free),
with help from SWI Forums. Start here for instructions:

Try correcting the date and time, see if any functionality returns.
