web connection problem

I have 2 computers on a network using network cards with crossover cable. I
connect to the Internet through a dsl modem using usb. Everything worked
fine but some how 2nd computer stop working. I fixed that problem but now it
won't connect to Internet. I can share files and printer. I ran the wizard
still know help. I checked to see if computer browser and tcp/ip netbios
helper were started and they are. I ran adware,spybot,stinger and registry
first aid. I turned off all firewalls. I know I'm missing something but
can't put my finger on it, System is home xp sp2. Any help on this would be
great. Thanks in advance for any help.

Maybe corrupted tcp/ip. Try winsockxpfix

I had tried that but didn't work. It was a corrupted tcp/ip. I got it fixed.
