I had previously scheduled a CHKDSK and forgotten that fact, then
rebooted and had to wait a long time for CHKDSK to complete, while I
had more pressing priorities. I understand how to reverse a CHKDSK
that has been scheduled and is pending, but what I wish to know is
whether there is any prescribed and safe way to abort a Windows XP
CHKDSK that has been commenced after rebooting.
Thanks.
