waveOut output v2.1 error

Hi, When i try to play songs on Winamp i get the fllowing error.......

No sound devices found. PLease buy a sound card first ( or install proper
drivers if you think that you have one ).
Error code: 2
Windows error message:
"A device ID has been used that is out of range for your system"

Please guide me on steps to take to rectify this.
