Watermark Shading -- Word 2002

Guest

I have a watermark consisting of some very light areas and other very dark
areas of the graphic. When Washout is selected, the light areas are so very
faint as to be non-existent. When Washout is not selected, the dark areas
are so dark that the text on top cannot be seen.

WordPerfect had an option for watermarks that allowed you to select the
perecentage of shading that your desired. I cannot find a similar option in
Word. Is there a way for me to select the shading percentage in Word?

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Double-click on the graphic to bring up the Format Picture dialog. There are
several controls that may be useful: Transparency on the Colors and Lines
tab and Brightness, Contrast, and Color on the Picture tab.

With the picture selected go to Format-Picture on your menu bar and click on
the Picture tab and under the second section Image control you can adust the
contrast and brightness percentage or just go to View-toolbars and Picture
and it has buttons for contrast and brightness so you can see the results as
you click on the buttons.
