Hi Steve,

To determine the correct 'All Users' profile, type %ALLUSERSPROFILE% in the RUN box. For the current user profile, %USERPROFILE%

Once you determine which folder belongs to which profile, you can safely move the additional folders to a different drive. Reboot and see if there is any problem, if not delete the additional folders which are moved to the different drive. Note that those folders may be having some data/personal documents, be sure to backup them.

NOTE: You can also use the SET command from Command Prompt to view the Homepath and Environment Variables.

Don't delete "Default User" profile as it acts as a template account for the new user profiles which you might create.

battle between my oem disk and norton scumware, i have 7 folders in
documents and settings! all users [30mb] all users.window [10mb] all
users.windowxp [267kb] default user [553kb] default user.windowxp [267kb]
owner [1gb] and (myname) [2gb]. can i safely and simply delete and/or reduce
some of these?

guess i'll just waste the space after all. thanx for all your past (and

the movement of the folders. apparently the 2gb user folder (myname)
maintains some association with winxp. i'm now hand deleting individual
items. i will report any news.
