I'm truly hoping that this is a case of me simply being
unable to find my post, but after 1/2 hour+ and making 3
passes over 4 days worth of posts as well as checking 2
other XP subject groups to see if my post was moved, I am
unable to find it. I returned to thank the 2 posters for
their help and intended to share my solution to a problem
described at pcguide.com as
" ... unfortunately, one of the most difficult of all
problems to troubleshoot on the PC. The reason is twofold:
first, these problems are usually intermittent, and
therefore hard to pin down to any particular cause, and
second, there is a really large variety of problems that can
cause this sort of behavior"
I will reserve comment for the moment until I ascertain
(hopefully w/ your help) whether or not my post was removed.
If it was removed, shame on you. If not, I apologize for the
inference.
This was made 6th or 7th, early in the morning. (am
uncertain because I made 3 posts during course of 2 days on
subject ). Subject Line: 3rd Time to the Plate (0-2, so far)
Sender: Pass D. Post(er) (or something close), a reference
to previous 2 psts that were not reponded to over previous
2-3 days.
The only comment that I can possibly think of that would
have gotten me bounced was a reference to the difficulty of
saving and restoring programs when doing a complete reformat
of the HD (in my case, due to a devastating virus) because
of the nature of Windows registry system and an off-handed
remark about *almost* thinking of switching to Apple if I
had to go through the reformat process again, which, for me
entailed getting 50 gigs worth of apps installed and
running.
On %date%, upon extinguishing a Casa Sport and savoring a last sip of caffe coretto Kyzers Sozay %from% uttered forth:\n
