Wanted: clipboard organiser with hotkeys

Pete

I'm looking for a small and light-on-the-resources clipboard organiser
with hotkeys, for use with XP. Currently, I'm using PC Magazine's
ClipTrak (no, it's not freeware), which I really like, but it'd be even
better if the saved clips could be accessed with hotkeys.

With ClipTrak, to put a saved clip into the clipboard, you need to right
click on the tray icon, then go to the saved section, then select the
clip, then move to where you want to paste the clip, then right click
and select paste. It's probably not nearly so bad as it sounds, but
often it's just easier to type something from memory than paste it.

How I imagine this hotkey feature would work is that I could save clips
into a special area of the program, then when I want to use one of those
clips, I'd move the cursor to where I wanted to paste it, then press a
hotkey to paste that clip.

I don't need zillions of saved clips, ten would be plenty.

Can anyone point me to something with this feature?

Thanks, Peter

Have you looked at PC Mag's RoboType ( if you already have a subscription it
is free)?

Clipomatic is excellent and uses only 180 KB of memory,
unlike many other clipboard managers I tried.

Thanks to everyone who responded - I didn't find what I wanted, but I
have changed to Clipomatic.

Try CLCL: http://nakka.com/soft/clcl/index_eng.html

On my system, it's using 6K of memory.
With ClipTrak, to put a saved clip into the clipboard, you need to right
click on the tray icon, then go to the saved section, then select the
clip, then move to where you want to paste the clip, then right click
and select paste. It's probably not nearly so bad as it sounds, but

into a special area of the program, then when I want to use one of those
clips, I'd move the cursor to where I wanted to paste it, then press a
hotkey to paste that clip.

This is exactly what CLCL will do. You can program a hotkey to access
a pop-up list of clips saved, then scroll down using the mouse or
keyboard to pick the one that you want. I believe you can also assign
individual hotkeys to individual clips. You can also save clips as
templates, etc. An icon is also available in the system tray should
you need it.
I don't need zillions of saved clips, ten would be plenty.

You can save as many as you like, and it's compatible with graphics
clips too. You can also disable that feature if you like.

I have tried several clipboard managers, some freeware and others
shareware, but this one is a keeper! Once you figure out all the
hotkey options, you can configure this program to operate as you wish.
