| What is ClipMagic ?
|
| ClipMagic is a powerful Clipboard Extender and Information
| Manager for storing Images and Text, either automatically or
| manually in a categorised format, with details of the URL if the
| text is from an Internet site.
|
| To save something simply copy it to the Windows Clipboard by
| pressing CTRL-C or right click on the mouse and select Copy.
| ClipMagic then automatically stores it and if you have set up
| Rules & Filters the clip will be moved into a particular
| category.
|
| Clips can easily be retrieved either by copying from ClipMagic
| and pasting into your application or by using HotKeys or using
| the new PastePicker.
If this has being posted here already I missed it. Also I'm not sure
when the change took place:
Mjtnet's ClipMagic (not to be confused with "ClipboardMagic") - which
used to be shareware - is now freeware.
Donationware, more specifically. No ads, no promos for other products
by the developer, no nags. The sole part that is not clean is the paypal
icon standing out on the toolbar. (Ugly/disracting, in my picky opinion,
but maybe one can get used to it, as it's only an icon, not something
occupying material screen real estate).
This looks to be a fancy little app. I did try it out briefly a couple
of years ago and was somewhat impressed, but then tucked it away since
I wasn't motivated for purchase.
Not having long experience with it, installed the freeware just tonight,
I don't have any review to offer. Though maybe others here have experience/
comments? Meantime, for those curious, the site is full of description and
screenshots. http://www.clipmagic.com
