Just that this is new and thought that someone may be
interested:

Clips101

"multi-clipboard programs. Just have it running minimized and
it captures everything you cut or copy from other programs. It
keeps the last 30 clips. When you want to paste one back, ...
restore it and click on the clip you want. If you prefer to
work entirely from the keyboard, you can choose a function key
to restore and then paste any clip by typing the letter shown
next to it. When you move the mouse over the clips, you can
see them in the viewer. If the clip is text, you see several
lines and if it is a graphic, you see a thumbnail.

Screen Shots
To capture the entire screen press Prt Scr.
To capture the active window press Alt+PrtScr
To capture an individual graphic from Internet Explorer or
AOL, point to the graphic, right click and select "Copy" from
the drop down list.

Outlook Compatible
One of the features is that you can paste any screen or
graphic directly into the body of an Outlook Express email.
With most other programs, you have to save graphics as JPEGs
and then attach them."

I just downloaded this and installed it. I have to say I like
it more than Yankee. One thing I like about this new one is
that although it might has less functions and only 30
clipboards, you can easily call it up from the systray, and
just press a number of the clip it will paste automatically,
very keyboard friendly. A keeper for me. (Yet, I think the
file is a just a bit bigger than I would like 1.9mb. )

did you see Frank's post about clcl?

English version
clcl111_eng.exe (size 169 KB)
clcl111_eng.zip (size 141 KB)
http://www.nakka.com/soft/clcl/index_eng.html

Much more sensible file size, no limiitations to number of items,
plugins available to extend functionality, eg: remove quote, change
case, etc

Yes, very impressive and handy, full keyboarding support.
Only different is that no image viewing, but it is totally ok
for me because I don't often clip picture. On the other hand,
clip101 is very handy when it comes to copying picture from
the internet. Thanks!

What happens when you copy an image to the clipboard and then double
click on it in clcl?

And right click to close it.

ooops, sorry, it does show image. I saw some hex code and
thought that that was all it shows.

However, I have still decide to keep 101 for a while. One thing
I found is that on my XP box, Yankee use about 5mb+ ram. Then,
for both CL and 101, I put a same picture on the clipboard. CL
uses up to 5mb-6mb, but 101 usage is only 1.5mb-4mb.
Interesting. So, one have a bigger file but smaller operation
cost, the other is the opposit.

I don't see a tray icon whenever I run CLCL. You or any one else using
CLCL has had this problem? From the program options, I noticed that a
viewer is present, but it seems I can access the viewer only from the
tray icon, but I don't see a tray icon at all. Running latest version of
CLCL on Windows XP.

I really like this program, and its basic features are easy to use, but
the options for the advanced features are not very well organized in the
setup program, and with the lack of documentation, its difficult to
understand what many of these advanced options do.

Thanks in advance,
Mario

Are you launching clcl.exe, which you should be?
Or clclset.exe, which you shouldn't be?

Also... do you have any other systray icons vanishing at random times?

A bit of documentation would be nice...

I was launching ClCL.exe, of course. I just discovered what the problem
was. Tray Wizard (a system tray icon manager that I use), was somehow
'eating up' the CLCL tray icon. Solution : Launch Tray Wizard *after*
starting CLCL. I've never had this problem with Tray Wizard before, so I
didn't bother to check if this was the problem, until now.

The author is Chinese, I think, so maybe if he comes up with at least a
guide in his native language, someone might help in translating it to
English.

Thanks for replying,
Mario
