want to disable preset that skips section for spell check

Document was emailed to me with strange presets that will not allow me to
spell check entire document. Can anyone help?
 
Ctrl+A to select all the text. Then go to Tools | Language | Set Language,
make sure that the correct language is selected, and clear the check box for
"Do not check spelling or grammar."
