Can someone help me here? What is the run command to skip the login
screen in Win XP and boot straight into the desktop. Somehow I got
this back again and want to get rid of it.

thanks in advance,

MFG

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon]

"DefaultUserName"="test a"

"AutoAdminLogon"="1"

"DefaultPassword"=""

Put that in auto.reg and double click on it. The username is case sensitive

and the above works fine for a null password. The top line is vital.

That logs on auto and obviously only works for the one user.

If you are only user of your system, this behavior is usually the result of
having installed the .NET Framework. You can easily disable the welcome
screen in this case.

Hope this helps.

Also, TweakUI can do it under Logon > Autologon. Even if you don't use a
password, at least a blank has to be set before it works.

TweakUI is available on this page:
