Don't want any login screen

I am aware that I have 2 choices when my computer boots up. The Welcome
screen and the classic Login prompt. I don't want either one.

When windows boots up, I would like to see my desktop. I don't want to
enter a username or password. I am the only one who uses the computer.

I went to User Accounts and UNSELECTED Use Welcome Screen and Use Fast
User Switching, and still when I boot, I get the Classic Login prompt.

If you can assist me in going straight to the desktop, I would greatly
appreciate it.

Thanks in advance!

And presumably you are the only one who has ACCESS to the computer as well?

Easily accomplished, without downloading any additional software.

Go to Start, Run..., and type 'control userpasswords2' without quotes.

Click the checkbox next to "Users must enter a user name...," so there
is no check mark in the box. Click Apply. You will be prompted to enter
a password for an account, possibly the Administrator account. Type in
your own account name and password, and click OK. That's it.

1. Go to Start | Run and type in: control userpasswords2 | Ok.

2. On the Users tab, clear the Users Must Enter A User Name And Password To
Use This Computer check box and then click OK.

3. In the Automatically Log On dialog box that appears, type the user name
and password for the account you want to be logged on each time you start
your computer.

You can accomplish the same thing by:

Download and install tweakui for xp and use its auto logon feature.

Lastly you can add the Dialog box that comes up when running control
userpasswords 2 to the Control Panel with the following tweak:

Add Control User Passwords2 to the Control Panel (Line 1)
