wacom tablet USB

Please help.
I have purchased a new computer with Microsoft XP Home
Edition. I have installed my Wacom Tablet (USB) and it
works fine. Each time my system starts up from idle, XP
tells me that this device is not recognized and hence the
tablet stops working. I then reinstall and it starts over
again.
How can I get this to stop happening. It's a pain in the
butt.
Thanks for any help with matter.

I am using a Wacom Intuos 2 and also have this problem.
When XP boots the tablet is not recognized, by unplugging
and plugging in the USB plug it is then recognized and
works fine.
Also uninstalling it in the Device Manager, then using
the Find New Hardware wizard it comes up OK and works.
Its a real pain to do this every time!!
I don't want to reinstall XP, (if possiable), and I am
running the latest driver on the tablet.
Please help.
