W2KAS in AD mode does not display events

T

Tom McCarroll

Having a weird problem with W2KAS in AD mode where the
Event Log doesn not display ANY events. If I click on
refresh I get the scroll bar and I even see a record count
in the header bar.

I.E: My System log says there are 2200 events yet I can't
see any of them. The only log that displays anything is
in my security log.

If I check the actual sysevent.evt file it shows a size of
512k and if I open it in Notepad there is definatley data
in there. If I try and save to a text file I still have
no events displyed.

Any ideas?

From what I can tell there are at least half a dozen of us
reporting the same problem - Is there a Microsoft fix?

I have also posted the problem where the summary can be
seen, but the details of an event cannot be displayed.

M$, where is that fix?

Do a search for Event viewer or dcdon

If you maybe want to save the files try
F5 for making visable and try to exprot to your desktop
You can always delete later
