w2k3 printserver | w2kprof client | cannot print

Hi,

I have a Windows 2003 Server sharing a printer.
I also have several identical Windows 2000 Professional workstations
printing on that printer.
Well, all except one.

If I compare the settings on a functioning workstation (one that is able
to print on the shared printer) with the one that doesn't, everything is
identical.

But.
The job leaves the local printer spool (ps), shows up on the server ps
and is immediately deleted from the server ps, without being printed.
No error message either.
If I try to print a test page, a error occures:
"Failed to print..blah blah..deleted."

Next I've tried to bypass the local ps (print directly to printer)and
voila! it prints!

But where is the p.r.o.b.l.e.m.?

Could anyone help me out with this, please?

Tibby

The printer is a HP DeskJet 870CXi, for this information could be needed ;)

So you say that bypassing the local ps resolves the issue ( ? )
- Do you mean by clearing the "Enable advanced printing features"
checkbox, or did you mean to say "bypassing the print server (print
directly to printer)" ?
