W2K upgrade or new install?

I have W98 on my PC and want to convert to W2K. Would I
be better off doing a complete new install (and uninstall
W98), or purchase the upgrade? There isn't much
difference on the pricing. What are pros and cons?
Thanks.

Mr E

If price is of no issue, then get the full version (not upgrade).
Main reason is that performing an in-place upgrade will leave
"stuff" behind whereas a new install gives you the cleanest
starting point. There can be other considerations such as
having applications already installed that you do not/can not
reinstall. But if you have the option, new install is the best way
to go.
