W2K Server Install

Hello,

We currently have a NT 4.0 Domain in one of remote offices, very small ( 5
clients ). I'm replacing the domain controller with a new server ( W2K
Server, P4 PC ). The basic steps to install W2K Server I know.

1) After install as a member server, start>run>dcpromo
2) What services are mandatory for a W2K environment, DNS ?

Thanks in advance,
Lawrence

.
Yes, you need DNS, as well as anything else that the
current NT box is running. WINS is optional, but I would
probably recommend it. DHCP if you use it, etc. DNS
will auto load during the DCPROMO.

Hi,

Can you recommend a online doc for installation? Does Active Directory
install automatically as well or do I have to setup manually?

Thanks,
Lawrence
