Does anyone know if there is any way to use the 3dtext screensaver from
Windows 2000 Pro in Windows XP Pro?
I've copied the SS3DTEXT.SC_ file from the Win2k CD to my WinXP box, and
renamed it 3dtext.scr, but it fails with...

....is not a valid Win32 application.

or something like that.

Thanks,
Charles

Why not use the XP 3d text screensaver?

An underscore at the end of a file extension frequently means the file is compressed. I don't know how to decompress it, but I believe there is API for it.

You must first expand the file!
Open the command Prompt and use the expand command like
this:
expand ss3dtext.sc_ ss3dtext.scr
Why do you want to do this? 3d Text screen saver is
automatically installed with Windows XP!

Expand command in Command Prompt
