W2K Prof SP4 & WinNT 4 Server

Hello,

I have added new systems with Win2K Prof SP4 installed,
fresh loads with all critical updates done, to an existing
NT 4 Server SP6 network. I can join the computers to the
domain but after joining, I cannot login into the domain
either as an existing user or as administrator. I get an
error that the "domain xxxx is not available". If I
login "locally" and do a search for computers through
Network Neighborhood, I can find the server and all shares
are available. I can even manually map a share as a
network drive as a workaround. I have not checked the NT
Server event log yet for clues. Has anyone run across this
before? Uninstalling SP4 is not an option as I didn't
archive on a new Windows load. Ideas?

Thank you in advance.
Guy

DNS, all together now, DNS, DNS, Win2K uses DNS for everything. And this is
not to be confused with internet DNS. On your NT PDC setup a forwarding
Primary Zone for YOUR Domain and have ALL clients use it.
