W2K print server. All printers are gone

I am a system administrator. I have 2 print servers, one with 106 and
the other with 107 printers. both servers run SP3. For about a year
everything went ok. but since yesterday the printers on one of the
servers disappear spontanious.

i have searched on the net but all the problems are different from
mine.
in the eventlog i can see that the spooler crashes and after that the
clients can't print annymore. the printers don't reappear if i restart
the spooler service. also a complete reboot of the server doesn't
bring back the printers.

the only thing i can do is restore the system state of the server or
put the backup back that i made with the printer migrator.

the first time this happend I rebooted the server and after the reboot
the eventlog shows that the print spooler immidiately crashes again.
can annyone draw a conclusion from this?

does annybody has anny idea what i can do?

Try clearing files from the spool folder.
