W2K, IE6 & Nero 6 burning CD issue.

Hi there,

Strange issue only happens in W2K, SP4 with all patches. Whenever I am
logged on and start to burn a CD with Nero 6 and previously Nero 5.5 firstly
my internet connection either disconnects or I get the 'web page cannot be
displayed' message and cannot get any web sites up.

This is only happening on W2K on my XP partition same setup no such
problems.

This happened on my previous system and as I've recently changed my MB to an
Asus P4C800-D, P4 3 Gig, 1 Gig ram, Pioneer A06 new Lite-On 52x writer and
I've also changed my modem and still the problem persists leads me to
believe it has to be something to do with W2K this is a basic install of W2K
just SP4, updates and Nero. It happens no matter which CD I use to burn
with.

Any ideas as to why this may be occurring and fixes would be helpful as I
like W2K.

Many thanks, Tim.

Are you running Mcafee Personal Firewall Plus V5.xx by any chance?

Hi there,

No not using McAfee just Norton.

But I forgot to look in the Event Viewer must do that as it may point as to
what is happening.

Many thanks, Tim.
