I have a W2K workstation that accesses an XP workstation
using RDP. I can log on to the XP machine if I type in a
username and password but I can't log on using a smart
card. The XP machine recognizes that I'm using a smart
card and presents a box to type in the PIN. After doing
so, I get an error..."The system could not log you on. An
error occured trying to use this smart card. You can
fine further details in the even log...". Here's the
entry in the System log of the XP machine, "EventID 50
The RDP protocol component X.224 detected an error in the
protocol stream and has disconnected the client." Here's
the Application log entry, "An error occurred while
retrieving a digital certificate from the inserted smart
card. The specified smart card name is not recognized".
Here's the Security log entry, "Reason: An error
occurred during logon
