Windows 2000 Server with Terminal Services with 5 local users and 4 remote
users. Unable to sign on as Administrator, either at the console or at any
workstationn. All it display is a blank screen without any icon and taskbar.
No response with mouse or keyboard. But all users can log on as user and
works fine. Any idea what's the problem and how to fix it.

Corrupt profile, probably?
Anything in the EventLog on the server?

Connect remotely to the system drive of the TS and delete your
profile (assuming it is local).

Probably. I can't find anything in the Eventlog that relates to this. I
won't be able to log on as a user to delete the profile of an administrator.
On the other hand, if i log on as an administrator, what i get is just a
blank screen and i cannot do anything even if i press ctrl + alt + del!!

But surely you can create a connection from your client to
\\server\c$, using your Administrator credentials, and delete your
profile?

Or start Computer Management on your XP client, connect to the server
using your Administrator credentials, and add another user to the
servers Administrators group.

Thanks for your helpful advice. The actual reason for the problem is that
the cache memory of the administrator is completely full and therefore the
server is unable to load the profile of the administrator.
