W2000 mapping to Macintosh Share

When mapping a drive to a macintosh 9.04 server from a
windows 2000 server. We can connect once but any future
connections from windows (any version) to th emac server
fail. NT4 servers mapping to the mac server prior the 2000
server connection remain OK but if a reconnection is
required it fails. So far only rebooting th eMac
temporalliy fixes the problem. Mac 9.1 server does produce
any similar problem.
Thanks in anticipation of your help

Hi Andy!

Are you running AppleShareIP on your eMac? If so, which version?

William,
Many thanks for replying. We have now updated the OS to
9.1 and Appleshare to 6.3.2. But the problem still exists.
We are now going to try disabling one of the network cards
on the Compaq server. To determine if it is some wierd
loopback issue. Then replace the Macs network card if not
sorted. However if any other help will most certainly be
gratefully received.
Thanks
Andy

Hi Andy!

From what I remember, you only want to run 6.3.2 on an AppleShare 9.04
system. AppleShareIP 6.3.3 was available for users with systems that
wouldn't boot into anything lower than 9.1 but 6.3.2 was not meant to go
higher than 9.04.

I would suggest downgrading your server to 9.04 and installing 6.3.2
(you can't freely download 6.3.3). Then visit Apple's website and
download a few extra patches such as the AppleShareIP/9.04 update.

Hope this helps! bill
