W. Installer pops up during search!

and now recently also while trying to open excel!

it tells me to wait while windows installer configures microsoft office 2000
premium..then it tells me to insert the cd and press ok..

When using the search feature I always just click on 'cancel' , after a
couple of presses it goes away..but when i click on cancel while trying to
open excel it doesnt let me open the program..why is this happening and
please someone tell me if and how i can make it stop..very annoying..

Do you have the office CD? Maybe it just needs to finish the installation.
You would better do that using an administrative account.
