For the past 2 weeks in my Outlook Express email, I have
had several (e-mail address removed)......I always put them
in spam....but each day there are more,I have run a full
anti virus scan (with Norton Internet Security) and all is
ok,is there any way I can stop this pesky alert?I have all
Microsoft patches but I worry in case my computer has this
virus....Hope you can help,as you always do
Thanks

People with infected machines are picking up your email address from
newsgroup posts and sending you the virus.
Not a great deal you can do about it now , but in future I suggest changing
to a new email address and spamtrapping it
(e-mail address removed)
before you post to newsgroups

I can't tell from your post, you may already know this, but these emails are not from Microsoft. Instead they are sent out from infected machines so do NOT open them. Most, if not all, of these have the virus attachment stripped away by filtering by the ISP on either end, but it is still not save to open them. Microsoft never sends updates by email, so you can be 100% sure they are not needed and never open them. Nothing to be done about the emails coming to you unless you want to set up 3rd party email filtering software which will also help thin out the Spam email that a person gets bombarded with once they have used an email address for awhile.

The virus is being sent from computers that are infected, to
you, because those computers have your email address in
their files. It is also possible that the virus writers
have targeted you personally, but not likely.
As long as you use your brain, and scan the headers with
your eyes, looking for the suspicious subject lines, the
file size 144 and 156 seem to be the common size, and the
attachment AND do this with the preview pane turned off.
Delete them and then turn the preview pane back if you want
and download and scan the remaining email.
