VS2005 and CF 2.0 for Smartphone

Hello,

When I create a new Smartphone 2003 project in Visual Studio 2005 by
selecting the project type Visual C#, Smart Device, Smartphone 2003, all of
the available templates create .Net CF 1.0 applications. If I select Pocket
PC 2003 or Windows CE 5.0 they appear to create CF 2.0 applications. How do I
create a new Smartphone 2003 project that is using the CF 2.0?

Bryan,

The short answer is that you can't. Smartphone 2003 isn't supported for CF
2.0. You can use CF 2.0 for Windows Mobile 5 Smarphones, but not for
Smartphone 2003.

You can't. The Smartphone security model does not allow installing compact
framework. It needs to be installed in ROM. Then only phones with CF 2.0 in
ROM are Windows Mobile 5 phones (upcoming)
