VPN incoming & outgoing connections

I have set up a VPN server running W2k running Routing &
Remote Access behind my DSL Modem/Router. DSL
Modem/Router is set up with NAT to direct PPTP traffic to
the ip address of my VPN server. External users can
connect to my VPN server with no problem. However, the
problem seems to be if an internal user tries to connect
to another VPN server outside of my network. The
connection always fails with "Remote Computer not
responding". I suspect my DSL Modem/Router & NAT are the
problem here but am unsure how to fix this or if it is
fixable.

Any suggestions would be appreciated
Thanks

My guess is that you are stuck! Because of the port forwarding, the reply
from the remote server will be redirected to your VPN server rather than to
the LAN client. So a tunnel will not be established.
