vpn through a NAT router

How do you connect to a VPN server on 2003 server through a nat
router/firewall?

I have a dsl modem at the remote office and a Dlink router/firewall w/ vpn
tunnels.

Assuming the Router/firewall is VPN pass through, you need to open the port 1723.

In addition to Bob's comment you also need GRE Protocol 47 traffic enabled
through the router. Some call that "PPTP Pass Through" or "VPN Pass Through"
or automatically pass that if TCP Port 1723 is opened. If you have problems
you can test using the "PPTP Ping" and "VPN Traffic" sections on this
page...
