VPN connects can't see shared folders

I have an co-worker using Windows XP had been able to connect to another
co-workers Windows 2000 server with a VPN connection. The person with XP had
to have his DSL or cable modem replaced. Now he is able to connect but can
not see any of the shared folders on the server. The new modem is the only
change.

I from my XP computer am able to VPN to the same server, login with that
persons credentials and can see the shared folders. The only difference here
is a different ISP.

I welcome any suggestions. jbock(remove)@ibshome.com
