Internet not access while using VPN connection

Dear Expert,

I have Small network,and i don't have any VPN server ,i mean i don't have
any kind of server just all XP with SP2 client machines.My problem is that
when i try to conect with ISP VPN server at the time i m not able to access
internet.While not using VPN , i m getting internet.What could b problem
,How can i use Internet access as well as VPN connection..

If yo are connected to a remote network using VPN, there is a setting in
the VPN client properties that is "Use Default Gateway on Remote
Network". It is enabled by default. If you disable it, you will be able
to have Internet while the VPNis connected.

Hello,
I have a similar issue trying to connect to the vpn server at my workplace.
It used to work fine; but I went overseas for a week and somehow upon coming
back I could not access to the internet or use outlook once connected through
vpn.
I tried your suggestion: I disabled "Use Default Gateway on Remote
Network". It worked indeed for the internet but I still could not have
outlook connect to the mail (exchange 2003) server. Any suggestions would be
greatly appreciated. Thanks.
