VPN Connection Starts Automatically

I have a VPN installed on Windows XP Professional.
Lately, it's begun to activate itself several times
without me double clicking on the connection.

I know it must be some little thing but I have a
broadband connection (cable modem)I use all the time and
I use the VPN for work e-mail, but how do I keep the VPN
connection from popping up and trying to load?
