VPN connection problem between 2 XP Pro machine and 2 Linksys BEFSR41

Olivier \(MS\)

Hi,
We have two offices that are trying to connect together through VPN.
Here is our setup
Office A:
A few XP Pro machines. One (local static ip 192.168.1.2) has defined an
incoming VPN connection
All these machines are connected to a BEFSR41 router
On the router the ports 1723 and 500 are forwarded to 192.168.1.2

Office B:
Few XP Pro machines all connected to another BEFSR41 router
One machine has defined an outgoing VPN connection to the WAN IP of the
router of office A.

when trying to connect the machine from office B, we get a message that the
VPN is not available. Any idea ?

Thanks a lot.

Olivier

What error number are you getting?

Also, you only want to forward TCP port 1723 (IPSEC will not work over
a connection with NAT's on both ends without NAT Traversal, which XP
doesn't support server-wise).
