VPN Automatically tries to connect

Greetings all,

I have an Aconis image of Windows XP that I have used on about 20 laptops
which are the same model. I have about 5 users whose VPN connection tries to
automatically start. It will try to start when they sign on to their laptop
and sometimes when they are in Internet Explorer (IE 7). One user claims it
will try to start even when he is already connected with the VPN connection.
I've compaired the VPN settings with a couple of the other laptops that are
working fine and cannot see a difference. I've also made sure in the
connection settings in IE 7 are set to Never Dial a Connection. Some are
using a wired network connection and some are using a wireless connection.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a similar problem where I am using XP Pro SP2 and either IE7 or
Firefox on ADSL, when all of a sudden the VPN I use to connect to the office
on a different user, pops up suddenly. It's pain in the neck. I wish
Microsoft would have a switch in the registry to turn it off, by user.

What about 'NEVER DIAL A CONNECTION in TOOLS | INTERNET OPTIONS | Connections tab?
