VPN authentication issue

sarah

I have 2 domains with a two way trust relationship. If my
laptop is in one domain (an NT one) then through the VPN
connection I can browse and attach to any servers in both
domains that I have access to. If I then switch domains for
the laptop (to a Win 2003 domain), and then reconnect
through the VPN, I can attach to my Outlook profile (held
in NT domain) but I can't attach to any server shares in
either the NT or W2003 domain. I get the message "There are
currently no logon servers available to service the logon
requests". I have entries for all the relevant DNS and WINS
servers for the dialup connection.

Any ideas welcome! TIA

Does this only fail through the VPN connection? Are you logged in locally to the laptop or are you logged in via cached
credentials for the domain? If using cached credentials, which domain is selected at the logon prompt?

Thank you,

Yes, this only fails through the VPN connection. I am
logged on using cached credentials and the new W2003 domain
is selected at logon.
