Seems like its sort of scam-even the parent company's website has no place
where it can bought from, and even they charge for Linux versions

Actually, free for 3 month cycles. No reason you can't request
a new 3-month key after your first 3-months, ad infinitum. Just
use a throwaway Hotmail address each time?

It just appears to be a BETA at this stage, and not for sale.
