The only thing this information tells me is that my backup program isn't
working properly because of this stuff.

This information does not tell "ME" much!!! I was hoping someone could
help me in the correction of this problem.

If I am posting in the wrong place, would you be so kind as to point me
in the correct direction?

Thank you in advance for the help

Hi,
Please check to see
that the Event Service and Volume Shadow Copy Service are operating
properly.

I think that's the important part. For whatever reason, those services
aren't starting; they might be disabled.

Click Start; Programs; Administrative tools; Services.
If for some reason those aren't availavle, see Help and Support under
Administrative Tools for how to get to them.

Look thru the list for those two services: Right click on each one, and
choose Properties. They should each be "Started" and set to "Automatic".
If not, click Start to verify that they will start. Then set them to
"Automatic".
If they're already set to Automatic, set them to Manual, reboot, then
repeat the process and set them back to Automatic; don't ask why<g>.

Restart the computer and see if it's working now.

Come back with the results
