my volume controls are all set at the hightest level but the volume is very,
very low. I have checked to ensure the icon at the bottom right is at the
higest and that the control panel settings are all at the highest but I can
barely hear anything when a volume is associated with it. Same is true for
programmed "noises." Can you help me. I am old but not deaf by any means.

yes. Post in a VISTA group - this one is for OUTLOOK as in the title....

I know you are in the wrong forum, but are you aware that your speakers
themselves also usually have a volume control? Look for a small control unit
or a knob on one of your speakers.

....and set it to "11"
