Hi wondering if anyone has had the same problem.

The Volume control Icon in System tray does not start up.

I have to go to
"Sounds and Audio Devices Properties"
Device Volume -> Place volume icon in the Taskbar
Clear the tick box
Apply
Check the tick box
OK

to get it to reappear and then if explorer crashes or I
turn off my machine I have to do it again.

Robert

Sound still works fine

Hi Robert,

Once you set it back, run this edit:

Save Settings on Exit (Line 54)

To use the Regedit: Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it
and answer yes to the import prompt. REG files can be viewed in Notepad by
right clicking on the file and selecting Edit.
