Volume Control

Whenever XP loads, I cannot see the Volume Control icon
on the taskbar, eventhough the feature has been checked
in the Sounds and Audio Devices dialog under Control
Panel. However when I go to the same dialog and uncheck
it, and then recheck it, I get the icon. But it stays on
only for that session.

Please help me with this.

Vijay;
Try this: If you have a little left pointing arrow<< next to the clock,
left click it. This hides icons that are not in use.
Hope this helps, let us know.

Hello Wes,

I haven't turned the 'Hide inactive icons' feature on.
Please suggest something else. Thanks.

Vijay.

Hello Vijay;
I have been using Windows for quite a while. I have been using XP for
about three days, bear with me.
The last thing I have to suggest is this: Right click My Computer/left
click Manage/Services and Applications/Services/Windows Audio right click
and check Properties. Maybe it is set on Manual Start or Disabled.
Hope this helps.
Respectfully,
Wes
