Volume control

My volume control does not have a MIDI setting. Where
the MIDI column should be it is labeled SW Synth.
I am recording MIDI songs on a digital piano onto floppy
disks. Next I want to transfer them to wave files so I
can burn them onto a CD.
Can someone help me?

Depends on your On/Off Board Sound Card, but Synth is the equivalent. Have
you actually tried playing the .mid file in Windows Media Player? The sound
'quality' is totally dependant on the 'quality' of your PC's sound device.

You will then need a wave editing application to 'convert' you .mid file's
sound into .wav format. The simplest 'free' application being Sound Recorder
(sndrec32.exe) but is very limited. Your burning software *may* come with a
suitable utility.

I would suggest checking your settings here:
Under midi music playback, select MS GS Wavetable SW Synth.
