Volume Control

When I start my computer, kept getting this message. Volume Control - Unable
to load the user interface. Please reinstall the application.

Can anyone help please. I am not a computer expert!!

Is the Volume control icon (speaker icon) visible in the Notification area?
Also, can you launch the applet by typing "sndvol32.exe" in Start, Run?

Is the error message still appearing at startup?
And, does "sndvol32.exe" launch the Volume Control applet?
