Volume Control for Wave

Check the volume control of ALL sound utilities that are installed on the
PC, such as RealAudio, Quicktime, etc. There may be an interaction that
is resetting WAV; it has happened here.

It depends on which sound card/drivers/mixer you have. Some have a setting
on the mixer File menu that says: Save Settings Now. If your Save Settings
doesn't do the job, or you don't have that option, Try going to the site of
the maker of the sound card, and downloading and installing the latest
Windows XP compatible drivers. If you purchased a system that doesn't have
a sound card, but integrated sound on the motherboard, go to the site of the
maker of the system, and see if there are newer sound drivers to download
for your system. If you upgraded to Windows XP, and the settings were kept
before the upgrade, then for sure I'd try the above. If the system wasn't
upgraded to Windows XP, and the settings used to work, maybe the drivers got
corrupted, and again I'd try the advice above...
