voices and music too low or slow

When I play music or dvds, the voices are too low frequency. For example,
voices and music that is supposed to be high pitched isn't, and people have
very low voices on video. I may have changed something to make this happening
- it was fine until a few days ago.

Have you checked with the PC manufacturer that you have up to date drivers ?
 
thanks for the suggestion. I downloaded the latest soundmax driver from
compaq and it seems to have cleared up.
